Based in Baoding, Hebei Province, GWM is now one of China's leading manufacturers of affordable SUVs and pickup trucks. In recent years, the company has significantly expanded its portfolio and created an impressive line-up of electrified models, including hybrid SUVs and the company's first all-electric vehicle.
Internationally, GWM was one of the first Chinese auto companies to enter the global market. Today, the company exports vehicles to more than 170 countries and has more than 700 dealerships worldwide.

The first pickup truck, the Deer, was released, laying the foundation for a 27-year leadership (1998–2025) in the Chinese pickup truck market.
GWM exported cars for the first time, becoming the first Chinese auto company to export cars abroad.
GWM has begun developing its manufacturing operations abroad.
GWM HAVAL's large-scale sales in Italy set a new record for Chinese brand exports to the European Union.
Haval H6 launched - total sales worldwide exceed 4 million units.
Subsidiaries were established in Australia, Eurasia, and South Africa.
GWM HAVAL has entered the markets of Australia, South Africa, Eurasia, Chile, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia and other countries.
The sub-brand GWM WEY was created, which was a strategic step to establish itself in the premium segment.

GWM has created a large-scale test site - more than 45 km long, which includes a high-speed track, a hill test section, an urban area and a maneuvering track. The 7-kilometer track and an incline of up to 47° provide extreme testing in real conditions. The testing capability of up to 240 km/h makes this track a leader in China in the field of high-speed testing.
